Year 10 - Physical education
Remote learning: moving with athleticism
This unit will support the development of complex and demanding movement combinations with a focus on purpose, precision and power. Pupils will accurately replicate complex movement combinations and reflect on their performance before refining and repeating.
You will learn to coordinate complex movements by breaking them down to practice and refine.
Move: link movements together with control, balance and fluidity to coordinate complex movements. Think: to improve performance you need to plan, break down actions and sequence logically.
using imagination to produce original or effective ideas and solutions.
Mistake: You are either naturally good at movement skills and sports, or you aren't. Correction: Movement skills are learned and trained, just like maths and music. You need to practice and refine your technique to improve confidence and remember that growth spurts will temporarily affect coordination and this is perfectly normal.
