Year 11 - Art and design
Curating an exhibition
This teacher-led unit concludes the course with a physical or virtual exhibition. Pupils, having been introduced to curating, will select work based on quality and criteria, explore presentation, and mount and frame their pieces.
You will learn to present your artwork so it is clear, purposeful, and communicates effectively to audiences.
Presentation is part of GCSE assessment and helps examiners see the journey of ideas. Layout and organisation should guide the viewer through work in a logical sequence.
the way work is arranged and displayed to communicate ideas.
Mistake: Presentation is just for decoration. Correction: Presentation is part of communication, not decoration.
