Year 11 - Art and design
Second sustained project: working from a theme changing perspectives
This unit introduces collaborative working methods, even when assessed individually. Pupils will work together to respond to a theme, creating first-hand sources, then respond individually. They'll learn to contribute to larger projects while maintaining their own identity.
You will learn to select appropriate first-hand resources for your personal response.
A meaningful source that connects to your ideas or experiences adds emotional or conceptual significance to your work. Resources can become more meaningful when grouped or juxtaposed,.
a primary source that can be used to develop a response such as a photo or sketch.
Mistake: I need new resources for my response. Correction: You need suitable resources, ideally first-hand. They don't need to be new they can be sourced from bits of your project so far.
