Year 11 - Art and design
Second sustained project: working from a theme changing perspectives
This unit introduces collaborative working methods, even when assessed individually. Pupils will work together to respond to a theme, creating first-hand sources, then respond individually. They'll learn to contribute to larger projects while maintaining their own identity.
You will learn to take part in a critique to reflect and refine your response.
Experimenting with layering techniques and textural effects adds depth and interest to your practical response. Sharing your work with peers helps to gather constructive feedback.
thinking carefully about your own work or ideas, learning from what you've done or seen.
Mistake: You should take forward all of the suggestions from your critique to improve your response. Correction: You should listen to and consider all suggestions carefully, but you are expected to respond in a personal and meaningful way, so trust in your own artistic voice. You should take the suggestions forward if they align with your vision and style.
