This unit focuses on mastering the use of reflexive pronouns and verbs. It also revisits perfect and imperfect tenses, relative clauses and negation, and introduces the past participles of modal verbs. There is a further focus on avant de + infinitive and après avoir + past participle.
You will learn to understand texts about shopping, mastering topic-specific vocabulary and you can complete a role-play on this topic.
Listening and reading texts can be exploited to enrich our topic-specific vocabulary. Account for every word when translating from French, but remember there might be a different number of words in English.

Mistake: The same amount of words are used when translating between French and English. Correction: Due to the nature of the languages, there may be differences in how some words or ideas are translated e.g. I need is 'j'ai besoin de' in French. More or fewer words might be necessary to complete an accurate translation.
