Urban change
This unit teaches pupils about the causes and challenges of rapid urban growth. Pupils will learn about the trends and causes of urbanisationand will study how cities change over time.
You will learn to explain the links between a country's level of development and the nature of employment there.
There are four sectors of employment. Different urban economies are defined by these sectors.
a category of economic activity where jobs are grouped together based on their type of work.
Mistake: Those in informal employment are unskilled. Correction: Just because work is unregulated it does not mean that the workers are unskilled. While some workers may not have official certification of skills, they still possess expertise.
