Health and well-being: reasons for participation
This unit will examine the benefits of participating in physical activity and sport on health, fitness and well-being to include physical, emotional/ mental and social factors. It will also explore the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle and implications of ill health.
You will learn to explain the importance of a personal exercise programme and apply it to training.
A PEP is training programme designed to improve personal fitness. A PEP can often be associated with improving specific components of fitness.
