This unit furthers pupils' knowledge of the subjunctive. Pupils learn singular subjunctive forms of 'ir' and 'venir', and use the subjunctive after verbs of emotion and 'para que'. Pupils refresh and learn new impersonal verbs, and are introduced to adjectival phrases with 'lo' and an adjective.
You will learn to complete read aloud and role-play tasks in the context of visiting countries in the Hispanic world.
[ce], [ci] and [z] sound like the 'th' in 'think' in most of Spain, and 's' in Latin America and the Canary Islands. [h] is silent at the beginning of a word or in between vowels. [ch] is pronounced like 'noche'.
