Information technology in the world beyond school
In this unit pupils develop their understanding of what information technology is and will begin to identify examples. Pupils will discuss where they have seen IT in school and beyond. They will investigate how IT improves our world whilst also recognising the importance of using IT responsibly.
You will learn to identify information technology in school.
Tablets, computers and interactive whiteboards are all information technology. IT can be used for different purposes.

Mistake: IT is only used by teachers in schools. Correction: IT is used by everyone in schools, including students (e.g. on tablets or computers) and other staff (e.g. librarians using scanners).
