Information technology in the world beyond school
In this unit pupils develop their understanding of what information technology is and will begin to identify examples. Pupils will discuss where they have seen IT in school and beyond. They will investigate how IT improves our world whilst also recognising the importance of using IT responsibly.
You will learn to explain how to use information technology safely.
When you use IT, there are certain rules. IT rules help to keep people and devices safe.

Mistake: It's safe to share passwords with friends because they won't misuse them. Correction: Passwords should always be kept private to protect personal information and keep your device safe from others using it without permission.
