Information technology in the world beyond school
In this unit pupils develop their understanding of what information technology is and will begin to identify examples. Pupils will discuss where they have seen IT in school and beyond. They will investigate how IT improves our world whilst also recognising the importance of using IT responsibly.
You will learn to recognise that choices are made when using information technology.
IT can be used in multiple ways, depending on the task. People make choices when using IT.

Mistake: A balanced digital life means using IT every day. Correction: Balanced means making responsible choices in the way you use IT. It should not be seen as something that must be used every day.
