Local landscape : painting
Pupils will study a local landscape artist and make photographic records of natural or park scenes. This could include natural elements within a built environment. They will learn some basic landscape painting techniques and apply them to their own personal landscape painting.
You will learn to plan and make a sketchbook for your landscape painting.
Artists can make their own concertina sketchbooks for their artwork. Artists might plan using a layout, where they consider the visual elements of their artwork.
a type of accordion-folded book, where pages are connected in a continuous, folding sequence.
Mistake: Artists can only work in sketchbooks purchased from a shop. Correction: Remind children that artists can work in lots of different styles of sketchbook, including ones they have made themselves.
