This unit revisits key geographical themes through a global journey. Pupils explore news stories, regional features and environmental issues across all continents, using maps, data and fieldwork skills to reflect on what it means to think like a geographer.

Oceania has a range of physical features and landscapes. Oceania has some globally important tourist destinations.
The tourism industry is a term for the services provided for people who are on holiday, e.g. hotels, restaurants, tour guides, entertainment, transport, etc.
Mistake: Confusion between the country of Australia and the continent of Oceania. Correction: Spend time exploring a map of Oceania and identifying the different countries and dependencies that make up this continent.
