Invasion games: basic tactics to overcome opponents through futsal
This unit will build on fundamental skills and apply tactics to overcome opponents through futsal. Development of basic ball control, passing, shooting, dribbling, marking and tackling skills with determination in small sided games. Pupils will learn the rules of futsal and names of major muscles.
You will learn to receive the ball with control, turn and dribble into space.
Move: it is easier to control and manipulate the ball with the sole of the foot. Move: moving with the ball keeping eyes up to find space and avoid defenders improves fluency of movement.

Mistake: Pupils often dribble with their head down, focusing too much on the ball and not on teammates, spaces to move into or defenders within the space. Correction: Encourage pupils to develop the habit of looking up regularly to scan the area.
