Year 8 - Computing
Mobile app development
This unit takes pupils from designer to developer in order to create their own mobile app. Using App Lab from code.org, learners will familiarise themselves with the coding environment and have an opportunity to build on the programming concepts they used in previous units to undertake a project.
You will learn to modify a simple app screen using visual tools to add and arrange interface elements.
A user interface (UI) is the part of the app that users interact with. User interface elements are used to display and collect information.
how you as a human can interact with a device. Add one real device or system example to prove understanding.
Mistake: The user interface is only about how the app looks. Correction: The user interface includes both how the app looks and how users interact with it. A good user interface is both visually clear and functionally simple.
