Conversions are often used. Estimation can be used to help calculate a likely crop yield.
The area is the size of the surface and states the number of unit squares needed to completely cover that surface. Use this word when showing your method, then check your final answer is reasonable.
Mistake: Confusing unfamiliar units of measure. Correction: Pupils may benefit from having two lists of metric and imperial measures to reference should they need to.
