  • Area: The area is the size of the surface and states the number of unit squares needed to completely cover that surface.
  • Estimate: A quick estimate for a calculation is obtained from using approximate values, often rounded to 1 significant figure.
  • Mean: The (arithmetic) mean for a set of numerical data is the sum of the values divided by the number of values. It is a measure of central tendency representing the average of the values.
