This unit unpicks the many factors to be considered to prevent injury in sport. It focussess on the effective delivery of both warm up and cool down components of training.
You will learn to identify how the risk of injury can be minimised and understand the potential hazards found in a range of sports facilities.
Measures taken to ensure the appropriate level of competition include categorising by age, gender and experience. Personal protective equipment should be worn where necessary to reduce risks and limit the severity of injuries .
