Year 2 - Physical education
Outdoor adventurous activities: team building
This unit will develop pupils' ability to apply effective teamwork, ensuring that everyone is included and understands their role. Pupils will begin to develop and apply simple strategies to solve problems with a focus on applying effective collaboration skills when working as part of a team.
You will learn to show respect to others and support and encourage their best efforts.
Move: moving in response to the actions of others can make sure I am in a good position to support them. Think: helping others to problem solve and make decisions can help my team to complete challenges.
to treat others with kindness and care, showing that you value them and their ideas.
Mistake: Some pupils might think that you should only cheer and congratulate success, e.g., scoring a point or beating an opponent. Correction: All players, on all teams, should be cheered and congratulated for their effort, regardless of who scores the points, who wins or which team they are playing for.
