Unit Summary

This unit develops pupils' verb knowledge. Pupils use singular and new plural forms in various contexts, including the languages classroom, a fundraising event, daily activities, a dream scene and Las Fallas festival. They use negation and conjunctions 'también' and 'pero' in extended sentences.

  • In Spanish, we stress any vowel that has a written accent.
  • When there is no written accent, stress the penultimate syllable for any word ending in a vowel, [n] or [s].
  • To say s/he, it with an -er verb, remove -er ending and add -e. To say 'we', remove -er ending and add -emos.
  • To say what you or others don't do, put 'no' before the verb. This makes a negative. This works for any verb and person.
