In this unit pupils will consolidate counting to 20 and back They will secure their understanding of the teens numbers in a cardinal and an ordinal context.
You can compare and order numbers 11-20 practically.
Understand numbers to 20 in the ordinal context, as part of a number track or line. Use the language of first second and third to order numbers and sets of objects to 20.
The smallest of the values. Use this word when showing your method, then check your final answer is reasonable.
Mistake: You can't compare and order numbers that are not next to each other in the counting sequence. Correction: Start with numbers close together in the counting sequence and move on to numbers with a larger gap.
