Net and wall games: tactics and strategies in volleyball
This unit will build core skills and develop the use of game tactics to outwit opponents in pressurised situations. Pupils will sharpen their team working skills with a focus on managing conflict and generating the conditions for a great game regardless of the skill level of the participants.
You will learn to replicate a consistent dig and set shot with good technique using a full size volleyball net.
Move: keeping the hands and elbows locked when performing a dig increases control. Move: a triangle between thumbs and forefingers is used to cushion the ball on impact in a set shot.

Mistake: Pupils think a bump shot needs the hands to come together to make a fist. Correction: The correct technique is to place the back of one hand in the palm of the other hand with the arms extended and the elbows locked creating a platform with the forearms.
