Net and wall games: tactics and strategies in volleyball
This unit will build core skills and develop the use of game tactics to outwit opponents in pressurised situations. Pupils will sharpen their team working skills with a focus on managing conflict and generating the conditions for a great game regardless of the skill level of the participants.
You will learn to work as a team to cover the court.
Move: jumping to block at the net requires great timing. Think: staying alert and ready to move if the ball is coming towards you requires quick reactions.

Mistake: Pupils think a position in volleyball is determined by their physical location on the court. Correction: Rotations do occur based on court location but players are also assigned positions, with an assigned role, which they can move into directly after the serve.
