Unit Summary

This unit revisits direct and indirect object pronouns with object-first word order. Pupils learn the word order for direct and indirect pronouns in two-verb structures, and indirect object pronouns 'nos' and 'os'. They revisit a variety of present-tense and modal verbs.

You will learn to use the present tense of -er and -ir verbs and direct object pronouns to talk about what people do at a party.

  • Present tense -er/-ir verbs in 1st, 2nd, 3rd person singular (-o, -es, -e).
  • Verbs that end in –cer or –cir that have a spelling change in the 1st person singular. We add a 'z' before the 'co'.
  • Direct object pronouns (lo, la, los, las) come before the verb.
  • Use 'lo' to mean 'him' or 'it' (for masculine objects) and 'la' to mean 'her' or 'it' (for feminine objects).
