Year 2 - Art and design
Maps to explore identity, journeys, and imagination.
In this unit, pupils explore how maps can be used in a different way by artists, to tell stories about who we are and where we've been. They will create their own personal maps, think about identity, places and people that are imporant to them and journeys they make.
You will learn to show your personal geography through collage.
Identity is who we are and what we care about. Artists share their lives through their artwork.
who you are and how you are different from others.
Mistake: Pupils may spread their images separately across the page without using layering. Correction: Layering is used in collage to create further meaning and depth to the artwork.
