A themed approach uses Action-Space-Dynamics-Relationships to react to controversial art forms. Looking at Basquiat and Banksy, pupils question if it is social comment, work of art or criminal act. Using analytical skills, infusing dance with Hip-hop influences that emerged alongside graffiti art.
You will learn to apply the influence of graffiti art into your actions.
Move: performing actions with a Hip Hop posture requires feet apart, knees slightly bent, leaning forwards. Move: performing angular shapes and actions while using the correct posture requires control and coordination.

Mistake: Posture doesn't matter in Hip hop dance. Correction: Posture immediately communicates clues about a dance style, whether it is forceful and energetic like Hip Hop or light and graceful like Ballet. It enables the audience to know what to expect.
