Year 10 - Design and technology
Systems approach to design: Sustainable Futures
Pupils will develop knowledge of electronic components and a systems approach to designing. They will learn about different components and use these to build and test circuits for different purposes. They will design a system to control a greenhouse environment, considering the different variables.
You will learn to explain the function of different buzzers and use them as output components in a control system.
Buzzers are output devices which convert an electrical signal into a sound. There are two types of buzzers, electromechanical and piezoelectric.
an electrically operated mechanical device.
Mistake: Buzzers all work in the same way. Correction: Different buzzers work in different ways.
