Year 10 - Design and technology
Systems approach to design: Sustainable Futures
Pupils will develop knowledge of electronic components and a systems approach to designing. They will learn about different components and use these to build and test circuits for different purposes. They will design a system to control a greenhouse environment, considering the different variables.
You will learn to create a technical drawing using Fusion.
In Fusion, you can create 2D technical drawings from a 3D model. Orthographic and isometric views can be created that contain information for manufacturing.
represents a 3D object in 2D, where views are projected from the object's faces.
Mistake: Technical drawings created in CAD are always correct and error-free. Correction: Using CAD reduces human error; however, users must add correct and relevant dimensions. Incorrect constraints can also result in errors.
