In this unit pupils will develop pre-production skills used in digital media. They will learn the importance of understanding client requirements, planning, developing timeframes and the steps involved in these processes. They will be exposed to a variety of software tools and learn how to use them.
You will learn to explain the purpose and stages of the project lifecycle.
Initiation is about understanding the problem or brief, including audience research and defining success. Planning involves mapping out how you will solve the problem and create your product or solution.

Mistake: The lifecycle is a plan you follow from start to finish in sequence. Correction: Once you get to the testing and evaluation stage, you may move back to the execution stage until you are happy with the product.
