In this unit pupils will review their knowledge from the EYFS of counting in all its forms to and from 10. They will compare and order numbers to 10 practically and will consider the role of zero to represent nothing.
You can work out what the missing number is on a number track or number line.

Mistake: Pupils may not realise that a count with a missing number or number in the wrong place is incorrect. Correction: Reinforce the stable order of counting to and from 10 and highlight clearly when the order is not correct or there is a number missing.
