Year 10 - Physical education
Health and wellbeing: commitment to a personalised training plan
This unit will develop pupils' ability to design and carry out a training programme with a focus on physical fitness and commitment to exercise that is enjoyable and tailored. Pupils will also learn about nutrition to help support them in living a healthy and active life beyond school.
You will learn to formulate suitable long-term and short-term goals to allow healthy habits to blossom.
Move: demonstrating healthy training habits by recording workouts supports consistency and helps you to track progress. Move: independently leading your own physical training requires safe participation, away from PE lessons.
behaviours and routines that promote overall well-being and good health.
Mistake: Progress will always be made at the same rate. Correction: Sometimes different factors affect level of progress (sleep, hormones, nutrition) but also training results can plateau and changes to training are needed to continue to push the body to adapt.
