Health and wellbeing: commitment to a personalised training plan
This unit will develop pupils' ability to design and carry out a training programme with a focus on physical fitness and commitment to exercise that is enjoyable and tailored. Pupils will also learn about nutrition to help support them in living a healthy and active life beyond school.
You will learn to demonstrate how keeping hydrated and fuelling your body correctly can give you enough energy to participate successfully in training.
Move: applying maximum effort and the correct technique leads to success. Think: knowing when to increase hydration and adapt your fuelling enables us to gain the most success from training.

Mistake: Underestimating the amount of water the body needs throughout the day (not just during exercise) to maintain hydration. Correction: The general recommendation is 2 litres of water per day, however when training, more should be consumed.
