Outdoor adventurous activities: outdoor pursuits and team challenges
This unit will develop pupils' independence and team working skills through outdoor pursuits and challenges. It will challenge pupils to think about and gain competence in lifestyle pursuits that encourage engagement beyond school whilst also developing physical fitness and connection to nature.
You will learn to demonstrate basic first aid skills in a range of scenarios.
Move: the faster we pump our arms and drive our legs to collect clues, the more time we have to work out what they mean. Move: kneeling by a casualty, arms kept straight, allows you to utilise your body weight when completing compressions.

Mistake: I am not a qualified first aider so I can't help someone in need. Correction: Basic knowledge can allow you to help with minor injuries. Knowing what to do in certain circumstances means that you can support and hopefully make a difference for any more major situations.
