Health and wellbeing: healthy leadership and effective reviewing skills
This unit will explore ways to lead, motivate and set SMART targets for themselves and others to help construct a meaningful fitness based activity. Pupils will also learn about some of the barriers to participation and how to review progress to help maintain motivation.
You will learn to demonstrate resilience and focus through a challenging HIIT session.
Move: completing a HIIT workout requires the correct technique for energy efficiency, to prevent quick fatigue. Think: knowing how HIIT training can improve fitness like speed, power and aerobic endurance, improves performance.

Mistake: Pupils think HIIT is only for experienced athletes. Correction: HIIT can be modified to suit all fitness levels. It can be a valuable and quick tool to improve many components of fitness. The intervals can be shorter for beginners and the exercises less intense.
