Outdoor adventurous activities: teamwork, fitness and movement skills
This unit explores skillful movement and physical fitness through teamwork challenges. Pupils will develop teamwork skills and understand both why and how to warm up for different types of physical activity.
You will learn to start to identify the way your body responds to exercise.
Move: completing exercises correctly and safely will develop your strength and endurance. Move: to continue working for an extended period of time requires effective pacing.
protecting yourself from danger or risk by completing exercises with good form will prevent injury.
Mistake: A fast heart rate and feeling of nausea is dangerous and you should stop exercising. Correction: This is quite normal and a sign that we are challenging our fitness. It is important to get used to the way our body feels when we start to exercise. Seek guidance if this concerns you.
