This unit will explore the relationship between health, fitness, exercise and performance before unpacking the different components of fitness. This understanding will include key definitions, how to test and train each but also which components are most important for different sports.
You will learn to apply protocols of specific fitness tests that measure cardiovascular and muscular endurance and compare results to normative data.
The fitness test for cardiovascular endurance is the multi stage fitness test. The sit-up bleep test measures muscular endurance.

Mistake: Starting the multi stage fitness test too quickly. Correction: It can be beneficial to start the multi stage fitness test at fast walking pace to conserve energy for the faster levels.
